Superficial Radiotherapy Eyeshield

The UKCA marked lead eyeshield for use with kilovoltage X-rays has been developed for a patient-specific application. It consists of an accurately formed spherical low porosity lead shield, which is coated inside and out to prevent irritation to the patient’s cornea.

Specification:

  • Lead eyeshield to fit under the eyelid to protect the lens, while permitting irradiation to the entire thickness and width of the eyelids.

  • Item code: ES1: 12.25mm internal radius, 21.00mm overall diameter
  • Item code: ES2: 13.50mm internal radius, 23.00mm overall diameter
  • Item code: ES3: 14.75mm internal radius, 25.00mm overall diameter
  • Item code: ES4: 16.00mm internal radius, 27.00mm overall diameter
  • Disposable plastic insertion tool is also available
  • Approved disinfection method using the Tristel Trio system
  • The class I device is in conformance with: UK MDR 2002/ Medical Devices Directive 93/42 EEC & Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/745
